What is Backbone.js

Surfing around I took a peek at thinkrelevance where Jon mentioned a couple of interesting projects. And yes I want to look at them too. In this post I want to talk about Backbone.js.

Main page is on github. From the documentation I quote

Backbone supplies structure to JavaScript-heavy applications by providing modelswith key-value binding and custom events, collections with a rich API of enumerable functions, views with declarative event handling, and connects it all to your existing application over a RESTful JSON interface.

As it turns out there are a lot of applications making use of backbone. They mention it in the documentation. Bunch of cool apps Flow, Soundcloud Mobile, Trello, Bittorent, etc. The list goes on and on.

Bottom line: I need to learn backbone.js
